The Good Life Garden Bedford CIC

The Good Life Garden is a Community Interest Company, which means we’re a non-profit organisation, dedicated to benefiting the community. Our aim is to encourage people of all ages to spend more time outside, connecting with nature. We are especially passionate about gardening, and the benefits it can bring to both our mental health and the environment. We offer opportunities for everybody to get outdoors and begin connecting with the earth, and eachother!

Meet the Directors…

Meg Oliver

Founding Director

Meg is a qualified Teacher and Forest School Leader, and is currently enjoying working her way through the RHS courses in Horticulture. More recently she has earned the job title of ‘Muddy Teacher’ from some of the 3 year olds she teaches, which is something she is very proud of.

She is also a mum to two young children, an avid reader, and enthusiastic crocheter.

Meg loves being outside and wanted to share that with as many people as possible, and so The Good Life Garden came into being!

Peter Lickorish

Director

Peter has worked in a variety of roles in horticulture for over a decade and enjoys sharing a love of plants as horticultural lecturer and owner of ‘Apical Horticulture’.

He also flies historic hot air balloons from the British Balloon Museum & Library's collection.

Katie Birchall

Director

When Katie isn’t working in her corporate HR role, she loves getting out in nature to walk her dog Mambo.

Katie has known Meg since school, and is not only excited to be involved in The Good Life Garden, but also hopes to learn some new skills for her own garden!
